How Do I Ever Get The Time For It?
I have a family to support. I Have 2 Kids, one boy at age 8 and a teenager girl at 13. I have a wife to support and a 9-5 job. Sometimes I need to work overtime as well. I’m not satisfied with my job, I’m not happy.
Working too much and earn too little. We have a huge mortgage loan to pay and we only have afford to one car. My Son is taking karate lessons and our daughter is a cheerleader.
I try to get some time for my self as well with my buddies and co-workers while we are at the golf course. I need to get another job. A job where I can make more money to support my family. I need a job where I get more spare time with my family.
Does it sounds familiar?
- Do you need more time in your life?

We All know that the solution is to build up your own online business. The answer is to be your own boss. But the problem is still the time issue.
How can you make a home based business for your self while you have to focus on your day job and your family?
Well, Here is where the time management comes in. But I don’t have the time you say. I’m a firm believer everyone have a little more time to spare. But not everyone knows it because they have not a full overview of their day.
- 06:00-08:00 You get up, take a shower eat breakfast.
- 08:00-08:30 You take the kids to school and go to work
- 17:30-18:30 Dinner
- 18:30-21:00 The kids homework and family time
- 21:00-23:00 Here you have time to work with your online business
Your time schedule could look different, but as you can see, it’s not impossible to squeeze in an hour or two in the week days. Maybe you just need 30 minutes or an hour on your breakfast. Then you have 1 hour or more to spend.
But you need to write this down, make your self a schedule and stick to it.
Maybe you are a student and are available from 17:30. Do you know what you spend your time on from that point until you go to bed?
What is time? According to Wikipedia, Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future.
Time is a component quantity of various measurements used to sequence events, to compare the duration of events or the intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change of quantities in material reality or in the conscious experience.
Time is often referred to as a fourth dimension, along with three spatial dimensions.
Lastly Albert Einstein said There Is No Such Thing As Time Management. Because We have decided that there is 24 hours a day.
You can only manage yourself according to time.
So how can you do this in an effective way?
Time Management (Don’t Waste Your Time)
Write down the tasks you are going to do throughout the day and prioritize them. Regardless of how many goals you have, make sure you do the number 1 priority.
Aim to make all of them, but start with the top priority first. Make yourself a blueprint and take action.
Learn of your mistakes and strive to learn new things along the way.
If you are tired, or if you are not focused on what you are doing, and you find yourself do other things, take a break and relax.
Go for a walk and think about how you can get on your right track.
An idea is to use the pomodoros technique to manage your daily tasks.
- Set a timer to 25 min take a short break. Typically, 5 min.
- Do this 4 times before you take a longer break. 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse and repeat.
When it comes to the tasks make your self 4 categories
$/ money making activities – promos, launches, webinars
Connections – prospects e-mail marketing/phone call marketing et
Leads –Attraction marketing, value content on Facebook, branding
Other – Content Writing, blogging, YouTube videos etc
You can category everything you want or need. And you can categories it anyway you like. As long as it makes sense to you and you have your main focus on making money. You do that with your marketing through your content.
This is a blueprint solely on your business. But for this to work, you need to find time to your business. That’s why it could be beneficial for you to write down your whole day and what your use your time on.
You need to know that it takes you 3 hours from you leave your house until you are back home again. 3 hours spent on going to the gym. Do your workout, get dressed and go home.
You need to know that you use 2 hours on Facebook and other social media.
You need to know that it takes you 2 hours preparing food and eating your meals.
To know how much time you got to use on your business, or your personal life for that matter, you need to know exactly how much time you have spent on other activities.
Then it’s easier to say I don’t need to use 2 hours on Facebook. I can use one our instead and use the extra hour on Content Writing.
You need to treat time management in the same way you treat your family budget.
Have a full overview, make small tweaks here and there and you will get more money to spare. You can do this with proper time management. Instead of saving money, you saving time.
